Protection, Presentation and Provocation
When your collection is elegantly presented and immediately accessible,
it will be very difficult to resist the provocation to play.

|Padauk, a deeper red than Cherry
Eight Jumbo Shell Cases hang in this Player's Paradise, adorning every wall and offering proof that a guitar is as beautiful
to see as it is to hear and play.
When you see your Bear Claw Sitka from across the room, or as the light dances across the grains of your Indian Rosewood,
you gain a new appreciation for the beauty of your guitar. It beckons you to play.
Four of the Shells are made from genuine Honduran Mahogany which rich gold and brown tones with deep grain definition.
Four are made from African Cherry, also known as Padauk (pronounced "Pah-Dook") glows with a deeper range of reds
than typical American Cherry.
Imagine how difficult it might be to decide which of these amazing guitars to play. With such easy access, you will play them
all... more often, and with a deeper appreciation.
The most consistent feedback we've received from musicians who hang with us appears to be evenly split between two comments.
Compliments aimed at our Varnishing, Wood Selection and Joinery are truly heartwarming. Stories of how easy it is to find
time for play appear quite often. Feedback like this has been surprisingly gratifying, for this is one of the primary goals
of our quest.
On the left, two of the four Mahogany Shells are highlighted.
On the right, a pair of the Padauk Shells.
Genuine Honduran Mahogany rings with a subtle range of colors from bright gold to deep brown. Padauk is a rare treat to
work with, it begins as a bright orange and quickly darkens to a deep red when oxidized or exposed to bright light.
With our Masterpiece Hand Rubbed Satin Varnish, iridescence appears, causing the colors to shift as you vary your angle
of view to the wood. Still cameras can't capture effects like iridescence, but many fine guitars have woods/finishes that
offer examples of this stunning feature.
